This Years Prompt:

Quote: “[Information’s] defining feature is connection rather than representation, and information is whatever connects different points into a network. Information doesn’t necessarily inform us about things. Rather, it puts things in formation.”

 – Yuval Noah Harari

Question: Write a reflection showing a thorough understanding of the quote. Please cover the following:

  • What does Harari mean by this quote; do you agree with this quote? (note: you do not have to, but explain why if you don't)

  • Whether you agree or disagree, explain what you think this quote most applies to (or the range of things the quote most applies to).

  • How can/will you carry this sentiment with you into college? (If you disagree, you will not need to cover that point.)

Suggestion: We encourage you to research who Harari is so that you have added context. This is not required, just a suggestion.

Requirements:

Complete a visual presentation in response to the bulleted questions.

This will consist of a 2–3 minute video showcasing your presentation (visual and speech response to the questions).

Feel free to be as creative as you wish. Showcase a thorough understanding of the quote.
